whoami (about me)

My name is Han Yuan, I’ve been in the software industry for over 20 years, and I’m here to write about the ride now that I’ve logged a few miles. On the way, I built things and broke things. I hired people and fired people. I think I’m a tough person, but I’ve cried many times. I got lucky, but I would like to think I made the most of what luck I’ve been given. If you want to know what I did in the past, you can check out my LinkedIn.

I’m not going to focus on the last 20 years much here in this newsletter unless it’s about sharing lessons learned. I’m focused on my next 20 years. What you’ll find here is the modern art of software leadership. I’m still learning, so please join me.

crontab -l (why subscribe)

Subscribe to get full access to the newsletter and website. Never miss an update. I’m posting once a week on Friday on one of three topics:

  • Managing yourself (time management, wellness, habits, and relationships)

  • Business (entrepreneurship, growth hacking, strategy, and tactics)

  • Managing others (hiring, firing, culture, processes, and approaches)

I can’t promise you that you won’t unsubscribe, but I can promise you that I’ll be working hard so you don’t want to.
